The image depicts the first billboard that was unveiled on October 17, 1995. It was designed to educate the public to the fact that 106 Americans and 15 children under the age of 19 were killed by gunfire in the U.S. every day. It was the largest tribute of its kind seeking to educate and raise public awareness of the tragic loss of lives caused by gun violence.
